2026 General Membership Meetings - Summary

The Federation will meet on the 2nd Thursday

of each mid quarter month (Feb, May, Aug, Nov)  

Time: 7PM;  either virtually on ZOOM or in-person at the EBRP Main Library 

(Refer to each meeting date to determine meeting location, time and agenda)

Note:  The Federation will meet more frequently if a pressing issue surfaces!


December:   No meeting scheduled,  enjoy the holidays, see you in 2027!

Jun 11th Topics :   Library, Council on Aging and BREC discussion of proposed millages on the June 27th ballot. At the Special Federation Member meeting on Thursday, June 11th, leadership of the EBR Library, Council on Aging and BREC discussed the parish-wide millages proposed on the upcoming ballot.  The video of the June 11th Zoom meeting is available here.  The slide presentation with all information from the three agencies can be found here

Feb 12th  Topics This was our kickoff meeting for 2026 held in person at the Main library.   Agenda included:  2025 Year in Review,  introducing the Board of Directors,  focus areas for 2026, and the 2025 Recognition Awards presentation.  Recipients were Phil Fetterman, Bob Harper and Ed Lagucki.   Additionally,  approval of the annual 2026 operating budget,  membership campaign update and a sneak peak at the member meetings for the balance of 2026.    The night's guest speaker was Trey Williams,  Deputy Sec of State for Communications and Policy to discuss the topic of Louisiana's Closed Primary System.    See the attached presentation:   Closed Primaries
