In 2025, the Federation worked with Rep. Paula Davis on HB343 to correct R.S. Title 20.  We believe that Title 20 unfairly enriches a non-paying condominium owner.  HB343 passed both the Louisiana House & Senate without objection.  Unfortunately, Governor Landry vetoed the bill.  Please CLICK HERE to review our explanation of what Louisiana Condominiums now face with R.S. This year the Federation is working with Senator Franklin Foil on SR18.  SR18 passed favorably out of the Senate Judiciary A committee this week.  SR 18 resolution kicks our Title 20 issue to the Louisiana Law Institute.  SR18 asks the Law Institute to study the feasibility of allowing an exception to Title 20 as we proposed last year.  Please CLICK HERE to review SR18.  The Federation will advocate with the Law Institute for their positive review and response.
